Title: A Child's History Of the World
Author: Virgil M. Hillyer
Publisher: Calvert Education Services Year Published: 1997
This book is about teaching kids about history, it starts in the stone age all the way to The Cold War.
The author of the book is Virgil M. Hillyer, sadly I don't have much info on him, but, I know that he was a he and was the first headmaster of Calvert School and was born in 1875 and died in 1931, and I also know how many books he wrote, and wow, he wrote a lot of books, books include the "A Child's" series which includes this book and a A Child's Geography of the World, the "Architecture:" series, "Kindergarten at home" and many others.
I like this book a lot because I, myself am a fan of history and I think the writing is really good, my favorite chapter was Queen Elizabeth's one, the downside is how they draw the maps in the book, I can't tell the difference between water and land sometimes, because they both in the same colour. I sometimes return to the book to re-read it, I r8 it 5/10
